为进一步完善我院教师培训，为教师能力的提升提供助力，我院计划邀请国家教学名师、省教学名师和在各领域有一定声誉的知名学者、专家，到学院开设“东软大讲堂”系列讲座。2018年系列讲座的第一讲主讲人将由南澳大学信息技术和数学科学学院院长Brenton Dansie教授担任，主题为“Data Science : the career of the future?”。此次讲座将于3月15日下午16:00在A3-104国际报告厅举行，请各系部无课教师按时参加，届时人力资源部将组织考勤。

讲座主题：Data Science : the career of the future?

主 讲 人 ：Professor Brenton Dansie

He is Head of the School of Information Technology and Mathematical Sciences at the University of South Australia, the state’s largest IT School. He has previously worked in a number of roles within the University, including spending 15 years as Dean : Academic within the Division of IT, Engineering and the Environment. He has a Ph.D. in Statistics and has been involved in many collaborative research projects with colleagues from a range of different disciplines. He has worked on a wide range of major projects within the University in the area of STEM education for which he has won State and National awards including the inaugural SA Premier’s Science Educator of the Year. He is currently interested in encouraging students to consider exciting new careers in IT and Mathematics and to support them in developing their ideas and starting their own businesses.
